Queen Elizabeth's Cherished Pony and Corgis bid her Farewell
On September 19, 2022, the royal family said goodbye to Britain's longest-reigning queen and celebrated the life of Queen Elizabeth II at a private burial service at Windsor Castle. The late Queen, who passed away on September 8, 2022 at the age of 96, was remembered at the ceremony by members of the royal family. She was interred in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, a part of the St. George's Chapel, alongside her late husband, Prince Philip.
Before the queen's funeral service at St. George's Chapel, her two corgis, Muick and Sandy, were escorted to Windsor Castle's quadrangle where they waited obediently for the arrival of the queen's coffin. Two guards were with them at all times.
The queen's beloved pony and corgis were also there, in addition to other members of the royal family. Everyone's gaze was drawn to them as well as the late queen's beloved pets since they were a sight to behold. Famously, Queen Elizabeth adored both horses and dogs.
Emma, the late queen's pony, was also in attendance. The horse was positioned in front of the floral tributes to the queen and on the grass by the Long Walk. The queen owned Emma the Fell Pony for 26 years, and she regarded her as her favourite. The queen was also renowned for her prowess on the horse, and at the age of 4, she had owned her first pony. Emma was a great pony as well, and Terry Pendry, the queen's dependable stud groom and manager at Windsor Castle, claimed that the pony served the monarch admirably. In attendance with the pony, Mr. Pendry likewise bowed as the queen's casket passed. The queen's two corgis, Muick and Sandy, will live with her son Prince Andrew.
